Description

The iPhone 16e is Apple’s affordable entry in the iPhone 16 lineup, officially launched in February 2025. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with up to 1200 nits of peak brightness and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by Apple’s A18 chip, which includes a 16-core Neural Engine and supports Apple Intelligence features like Genmoji, Clean Up, and on-device writing tools. It introduces Apple’s custom C1 5G modem for better power efficiency, although it lacks mmWave support.

The iPhone 16e comes with a single 48MP main camera capable of 2× lossless zoom and 4K video recording, along with a 12MP front camera with autofocus. It does not include an ultrawide lens, MagSafe charging, or a Camera Control button, but does offer a programmable Action button for quick shortcuts. With a 4005mAh battery, it delivers excellent battery life up to 26 hours of video playback and charges via USB-C or 7.5W wireless charging.

The device supports Face ID, IP68 water resistance, and core safety features like Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite. It runs iOS 18 and is backed by seven years of software and security updates, making it one of the most value-focused iPhones Apple has released to date.
